Where Has the Summer Gone?

I am so sorry that I have been such a bad blogger!!!  I have been so busy this summer that I have not tried any new recipes, done any crafting, or decorated much!!!  Nothing exciting to post -- if I had a spare minute!!  But, this is what has been going on in my life (besides working!!) -

Here are the flowers I bought to put in containers.  Can you guess my color theme?  I will take a photo soon for you to see how they look now.

My mantel is decorated for the season with seashells -

My daughter had her annual tea and it was fantastic, as usual --

Mr. Cardigan and I had some time off during the 4th of July and we decided to spend a couple days in Amish country and had a lovely and restful time -

Had a chance to go to two of our Lake Erie Islands this summer.  Went with the YaYa's (minus 1) to Kelleys Island for dinner.  Enjoyed eating outside by the water and the second photo is on the ferry ride home.

Went with my good friend, Barb, to Put-in-Bay.  We visited Perry's Monument, ate at a couple places, rented a golf cart and toured the island, and shopped!

Lucy has spent a lot of the summer hiding from the storms.  We have had so much rain this summer and ever since last summer's hail storm she is even afraid when she hears the rain even if there isn't any lightening & thunder!  So, this is how she spent her summer -

Poor little thing!!

I am linking to Stone Gable's Tutorials, Tips & Tidbits.  I'm afraid this is a 'tidbit'!!  You can see all the great ideas by clicking here.  Enjoy!!

  2. I can see why you haven't had much time for blogging! Looks like you've been very busy doing wonderful things. Love your daughter's tea -- so much fun with everyone in hats.
