Mittens & Skates Tree - 2nd Tree Finished!

Here is the 2nd tree -- Mittens & Skates Tree

It begins with a 6' corner tree - the same one I used for a Fall tree which makes setting it up after Labor Day really worthwhile --

The lights are 2 sets of Kurt Adler skating lights -

The topper is a big skate, of course --

A little red with green trim tree skirt - pair of skates - and new this year is the red tub found at Hobby Lobby (using a 40% coupon) with large white ornaments in it (simulating snowballs!!) -

Enjoy the Mittens & Skates ornaments -

Love this soft drapery garland found at Hobby Lobby -

Red star garland -

Just love the bottom of the tree this year -

Lucy has been so camera-shy lately --

Southwest Tree - 1st One Finished!!

The decorating has begun!!!!  If you had as many decorations as I do you would be starting, too!!!  The first tree up this year is the Southwest Tree.  Last year it was on a 4' wall tree, but I have changed it this year to a regular 4' tree on a table.  This is the tree with red lights added.

I had found this flexible 'barbed wire' a couple years ago at Dollar Tree with the Halloween decos -

Love my Southwest decorations -

Voila!

The bottom of the tree -

The topper -

Final topper version -

All lit with room lights off -

All this has made Lucy tired -

I think I only put up about 10% of my Halloween - so here goes --

Found these Shiny Brites at TJ Maxx -

They went on this tree, along with some additional ornaments -

More Halloween -

Looking back on some of my previous posts - here is a recap of some of my Fall decos -

Of course, Lucy under the Fall tree with one of her 'mice' -

Now, to get all this packed away and onto Christmas!!!!  I have so much Christmas decorations that I must start now to get it all finished in time for my Cookie Exchange!!

Chicken, Potatoes, Green Beans -- All In

Super easy dish for these cold nights!

Chicken, Potatoes, Green Beans -- All In

4-6 boneless chicken breasts
small potatoes (if not really small, then cut them in half or quarter)
green beans (canned or fresh)
1 pkg. Italian dressing mix
1 stick butter, melted

In a large baking dish arrange the chicken, potatoes & green beans (if using canned then drain first).  Sprinkle the packet of Italian dressing mix over all.  Pour the melted  butter over all, too.  Cover with aluminum foil and bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.

I first saw this recipe on Pinterest and it went to this original site - Cooking Wit Crystal.

Here's the ingredients -

All in the baking dish -

Italian dressing sprinkled over -

Melted butter, too -

All cooked and ready to eat --

Lucy looks like she is really hanging on to the computer chair.  That is most likely where you'll find her sleeping at night.
