It's A Snowmen Family Reunion

Most every year this is how I do my fireplace mantel. This is my Snowmen mantel --

Some close-ups --

I just love this Snowman topper --

Some of these have been gifts --

And, some I couldn't resist --

It all came together once I found this snowman mantel scarf --

Of course, we need a "Snow" banner.  This was made quickly and using materials already on hand --

The large Snowman in the middle was bought at a craft show many years ago.  It is stored separately (because of its size) and the branches come off.  It had been wrapped in bubble wrap and placed inside a large QVC shopping bag (from my visit to its store connected to the studio in PA several years ago).  I didn't realize that Lucy was such a QVC fan --

I am linking to this Christmas Mantel Party - Christmas Mantel Party @ The Lettered Cottage

please check them all out --

What a nice snowman collection! Your mantel looks so festive. But snow? I don't really want it! We are having our first snow today- minor, but it is sticking. You didn't mention where you live- I'm in Dayton. Stay in touch; we might get together in March when we all have the winter doldrums and need a break.... Sue

love the snowmen! I love snowmen too and will buy one whenever i see one at a yard sale or goodwill. Do you keep yours up for January too? I live in PA so its our snowy month and i usually keep mine up unless they are more christmas-y snowmen.. i dont really have anything else to decorate with for that month.
I also love the kitty in the bag, my LucyFurr LOVES bags and boxes!

This is the first time I comment on your site, but I've been reading it for about a moth. I admire the passion with which you write the articles and dream that someday I can do the same. Love
