Chicken & Gravy

Chicken & Gravy

6 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
8 potatoes, quartered with skins
6 celery stalks, cut in chunks
1/2 pkg. baby carrots
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 pkg. dry onion soup mix

Place veggies on bottom of crock pot.  Place chicken on top of veggies.  Cover with soup, undiluted.  Then, sprinkle with dry onion soup mix.

Cover and cook all day on low or 6 hours on high.

notes - I did a combination of low and high as it was about 9:30 AM when I put it in the crock pot, starting on low then turned it to high in the afternoon for maybe 4 hours, then back to low again.

Also, my husband said this was more like a stew.  The gravy was very thin.  An idea might be to take another can of cream of chicken soup and mix it with milk in a saucepan and serve it on the side if anyone would like that.

This recipe is very very easy and healthy!!

Is your cat or dog afraid of the vacuum cleaner?  Lucy has always been afraid.  Once in a while she feels brave if I am several rooms away from her vacuuming and she will 'hold her ground'.  But, almost always she feels the need to jump on the washer and wait it out there.  She usually stays for a bit even after I am finished - maybe just in case I start it up again.  If she is there when Mr. Cardigan comes home from work he says to her - 'Was Ma vacuuming?'

She doesn't look very happy, does she??
