Peach Cake

Peach Cake

1 stick butter or margarine, softened
1/2 C. sugar
2 eggs
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 C. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
dash of salt
4 large peaches, peeled and sliced

Topping:
2 T. flour
2 T. sugar
1 T. margarine or butter, softened

Cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.  Add in one egg at a time until well mixed.  Add in the vanilla.  Add the dry ingredients to this mixture.  Pour the batter into a greased 9" pan.  Put the fresh peach slices on top of the batter and press down and mix in a little.

Mix the topping and sprinkle that on top.  Bake at 350 degrees for about 40-45 minutes.

**Very good served with Cool Whip or vanilla ice cream!!
